Destination Star Trek will only be happening in Germany this year

JUNE 2, 2022 - Originally scheduled for September 30 - October 2, Destination Star Trek in London has been canceled for this year.

Massive Events, the company responsible for both Destination Star Trek conventions in the UK and Germany, issued an update to their website late last week detailing the decision, which reads:

“We have decided to run just one big Destination Star Trek event this year. This means that Destination Star Trek Germany, taking place from 23rd to 25th September, will be the one official European Star Trek event in 2022. We know that this will be disappointing to some of you, but we look forward to new Star Trek events in the future in the UK.”

Destination Star Trek London ticket holders can soon expect an email regarding their tickets.

While this news is upsetting, and presents DST London ticket holders with a severe disruption to their plans, there is nothing to suggest the convention will not return in 2023. Massive Events is also actively promoting the 2022 London Film & Comic Con, set for July 8-10. The LFCC will be hosting a “Tribute to Star Trek”, with nearly twenty Star Trek personalities from across the franchise scheduled to appear. Visit londonfilmandcomiccon.com to learn more and to purchase tickets.
