All 13 Star Trek films are now available on Paramount+

NOVEMBER 8, 2021 - ICYMI - Fans of Star Trek will be happy to know that Paramount+ now has the complete list of franchise films available to stream, making it the only streaming service with all 13 films on hand. The news was posted to the Paramount+ Twitter account last week with the comment, “Computer, add all 13 @StarTrek movies to my @ParamountPlus My List.”

It’s not uncommon to see different iterations of the Star Trek franchise available on one or more streaming services. Netflix, for example, carried the majority of Star Trek content on its platform for many years through contracts with what was then known as CBS All Access. 2019 saw the end of Star Trek: The Animated Series on Netflix. At the end of September 2021, licensing contracts with Netflix for Star Trek: The Original Series, Star Trek: Voyager, and Star Trek: Enterprise all ran their course and are no longer available on the platform…but they are available on Paramount+. It is unclear whether the streaming service is planning to let current contracts run out, or selectively renew them to suit the needs of the franchise.

There is one interesting exception to note. PlutoTV, a ViacomCBS property, broadcasts Star Trek: The Next Generation on a dedicated channel, 24 hours/day.

With every episode of Star Trek and all thirteen films available to stream, Paramount+ is the definitive home for the franchise. While some of the films and series are available to stream from multiple sources, Paramount+ is your “one stop shop” for Star Trek content. Download the app or visit paramountplus.com to gain access to everything Star Trek has to offer.
