JUNE 28, 2022 - As IDW Publishing prepares to release their 400th Star Trek comic in September, it was announced the issue would hold - among other pieces - a brand new story written by Star Trek: The Next Generation (and now, Star Trek: Picard) actor Wil Wheaton. ComicBook.com brought us the details on the upcoming edition.

Issue #400 is expected to contain numerous “mini comics”, with new and exciting stories from across the franchise. Here’s a look at what to expect:

“Celebrate IDW's 400th issue of Star Trek comics with this monumental issue highlighting fan-favorite eras of the acclaimed series. This collection of minis brings together Star Trek comics veterans in an equal celebration of IDW's Star Trek comics past and future. Join little Keyla Detmer—as seen in Star Trek: Discovery—Adventures in the 32nd Century #3—on a new expedition, visit the Kelvin Universe, witness a heartfelt tale by TNG's very own Wil Wheaton, and more by Chris Eliopoulos, Declan Shalvey, Rich Handley, and Mike Johnson.”

Artists contributing to issue #400 include Luke Sparrow, Seth Damoose, Megan Levens, Angel Hernandez, and Joe Eisma. The issue will ship with numerous covers, five in all, with each cover designed by Louie de Martinis, JK Woodward, Megan Levens, Angel Hernandez, and Star Trek: Lower Decks comic artist Chris Fenoglio. The various covers will highlight some of your favorite characters - and memorable moments - from across the Star Trek franchise.

IDW’s Star Trek #400 is due for release September 7th, and is priced at $7.99. See your comic retailer for more information on securing a copy of your own.
