MAY 16, 2023 – This is day one of the Humans to Mars Summit, which embodies the mission of Explore Mars, Inc. to advance humanity to the Martian surface no later than the 2030s. Star Trek is being represented during the summit by the pilot of a well-known exploratory vessel.

Over the course of three days, the Summit will feature senior NASA, industry/commercial, and international leaders, as well as innovators, policy experts and elected officials, STEM professionals, artists and musicians, members of the entertainment community, and many others. From the entertainment community, and Star Trek particularly, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ Melissa Navia will be on two panels on Thursday. At 4:00 ET Navia will participate in the discussion of “Entertainment Industry in Space: From Star Trek to Space Reality.” Then at 4:50 p.m. ET she will pilot over to “Mars Can Unite the World.”

The Summit is underway at the National Academy of Sciences building in Washington, D.C. As of this writing registration has apparently closed, but you can livestream much of the Summit at Explore Mars, so set course, and ... hit it.
