AUGUST 22, 2022 - The universe of Star Trek literature is ever-expanding with no end in sight. Tie-in novels, comics and other stars continue to appear in Treklit’s stellar nurseries. TrekMovie is letting us know about the newest entries coming in the next few months.

Two video games will be the basis for comic and novel treatments. First, a five-issue comic book series will tie into Star Trek: Resurgence. In this prequel series, beginning in November, the crew of the U.S.S. Resolute is tasked with an urgent stealth mission to recover Dr. Leah Brahms and keep her research out of enemy hands. (Star Trek: The Next Generation fans will remember Dr. Brahms from the third and fourth season episodes "Booby Trap" and "Galaxy's Child.") The miniseries will be written by Andrew Grant and Dan Martin with art by Josh Hood.

Following the release of the video game Star Trek: Prodigy: Supernova on October 14, a tie-in middle-grade novel of the same name will appear on January 17, 2023. Robb Pearlman wrote the novel, in which the Protostar crash-lands in a peculiar star system, and the crew ends up separated. Dal and Gwyn must work together to find their missing crewmates while facing evil droids and a potential supernova.

Finally, Star Trek: Prodigy gives rise to another novel, this one by Cassandra Rose Clark, A Dangerous Trade. This middle-grade novel also drops on January 17 and tells a story in which the crew of the Protostar encounter rogue traders as they attempt to acquire transporter parts on a planet somewhere in the Delta Quadrant.

All three of the Prodigy tie-ins (the game and two novels) are available for preorder now on Amazon.
