MARCH 16, 2022 - Q’s trial in an alternate timeline continues this week for Jean-Luc Picard and his co-adventurers in the third episode of season two of Star Trek: Picard, “Assimilation.”  We have, as usual, a précis of the episode and photos to share with you.

The official summary of “Assimilation,” which drops tomorrow, March 17, says, “Picard and the crew travel back to 2024 Los Angeles in search of the ‘Watcher,’ who can help them identify the point at which time diverged. Seven, Raffi and Rios venture out into an unfamiliar world 400 years in their past, while Picard and Jurati attempt to gather information from an unlikely, and dangerous, ally.”

“Assimilation” is written by Kirsten Beyer and Chistopher Monfette. Monfette also co-wrote last week’s episode. The episode is directed by Lea Thompson. This is Thompson’s first time directing Star Trek, though she has been directing outside of Trek since 2006.

Among the several photos you’ll see Rios, Raffi, and Seven ready for action; Picard and Jurati in consultation, and Rios and Seven navigating their way … somewhere.

Every episode of Star Trek: Picard is streaming now on Paramount+
