Sir Patrick Stewart was a headline guest at this weekend’s Destination Star Trek in Birmingham, England. As expected, we didn’t get much new information about Star Trek: Picard, but Comicbook.com reports that he did drop a couple of hints in his Saturday panel.

First up, expect new information about the Borg, as early as the first episode. Stewart said, “After the 23rd [of January] when our show airs, you’ll know more about the Borg.” Now, we already know a fair amount about the Borg: they first turned up in The Next Generation, featured heavily in Voyager, and of course, the Next Generation film First Contact. So what “more” will we know? We’re likely to have to wait until January to find out.

In the same appearance, Stewart also praised the appearances of some of his co-stars from The Next Generation. Then he elicited cheers from the audience when he asked himself, “Will we meet the rest of the crew?” He answered, “I think so. I think there’s every possibility we will.” The original video of that moment was tweeted out by @TrekkieRob, who said, “Sir Patrick tells the audience at #DestinationStarTrek it is likely that we will see the rest of the TNG crew in #StarTrekPicard!”

Star Trek: Picard is currently in post-production and due to premiere on January 23rd on CBS All Access and other carriers worldwide.
