Before he was Saru on Star Trek: Discovery, Doug Jones played some of the most recognizable creatures on television and in film. Roles like the recent amphibian man in the Oscar-winning The Shape of Water, Fauno in Pan’s Labyrinth, and even the McDonald’s mascot from the late 1980s, Mac Tonight.

In a new video on StarTrek.com, Jones was challenged to recreate some of his most iconic roles...and rise to the challenge, he did. He recreated Pencil Head from Mystery Men, Abe Sapien from Hellboy, Fauno (as I mentioned before), The Silver Surfer from The Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, and the lead Gentleman from the Buffy the Vampire Slayer episode, “Hush”.

It’s just a bit of fun for a Friday, and I highly recommend that you check it out.
