New York Comic Con: Thursday, October 12 – Sunday, October 15

Oculto Film Festival: Friday, October 13 – Saturday, October 14

Doug Jones will be making an appearance and doing a Q&A at the Philanthropy Theatre, in El Paso, Texas. Check out Doug Jones’ Facebook post and the Oculto Film Festival site for more information. (Google Translate will come in handy for non-Spanish speakers.)

William Shatner Tour: Friday, October 13 – Sunday, October 15

William Shatner will be live on stage following screenings of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in Appleton, Wisconsin; Benton Harbor, Michigan; and Rockford, Illinois, respectively. Get all the skinny at William Shatner Tour.

Hub Trek: Friday, October 13 – Sunday, October 15

Kate Mulgrew, Robert Picardo, Todd Stashwick, Jess Bush, and Melissa Navia will be appearing in Australia Friday and Saturday at UNSW Kensington, the Patricia O’Shane Building in Sydney and Sunday at the Sheraton Melbourne Hotel in Melbourne. Head over to Hub Productions for more information.

o   #allstartrek runs Sunday through Friday at 8/7C and follows the Heroes and Icons Channel’s All Star Trek programme.

o   #TOSSatNight starts at 9pm PT on Saturday night and follows a different episode of The Original Series every week, and

o   #StarTrekHour is a Q&A-format event, every Tuesday at 1pm PT.

· Join Grey Havens Philosophy and Outworld Brewing every first Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. as they discuss the big ideas inspired by Star Trek. The gatherings are at Outworld Brewing, in Longmont, Colorado. Attendance is free, but an RSVP for planning purposes is appreciated at Eventbrite.

· The Observation Deck features a free series of online Star Trek watch parties, with episodes chosen from across the franchise. Set course for The Observation Deck for all the details, including the schedule and to sign up.

·And finally, there’s Sid City Social Club, hosted by Star Trek: Deep Space Nine star Alexander Siddig’s official fan website. They meet twice monthly on the first Tuesday and third Friday of every month, with occasional pop-up meetings with Sid as his schedule allows. ·Ongoing through October, Starship Edsel is a Star Trek inspired farce set aboard the Federation Starship Edsel towards the end of the 24th century. It is based upon a LARP written and developed by Brandon Brylawski, who is also a producer and head writer on this show. Performances take place at the Otherworld Theatre, in Chicago. ·Ongoing through March 2024, the National Museum of African American History and Culture hosts the exhibition, “Afrofuturism: A History of Black Futures,” which includes a uniform worn by Nichelle Nichols.
