OCTOBER 12, 2022 - Star Trek fans would probably agree that Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan is a definite exception to the tendency for sequels to fail to succeed as well as their predecessors. In this week’s episode of Star Trek: Lower Decks, we’ll find out whether things have improved by the 2380s.

In “Crisis Point 2: Paradoxus,” Ensign Bradward Boimler’s holodeck movie sequel tries to live up to the original.

This week’s adventure was written by Ben Rodgers and directed by Michael Mullen. Rodgers previously wrote the season 1 episode, “Crisis Point” and the season 2 entry, “Mugato Gumato.” He also voices Lt. Commander Steve Stevens.

Mullen returns to the director’s chair following this season’s “The Least Dangerous Game.”

“Crisis Point 2: Paradoxus” drops tomorrow on Paramount+.
