SEPTEMBER 29, 2021 - It’s been just over two weeks since the publishers of Star Trek Online, Perfect World Entertainment, along with their charity initiative Perfect World Level Up, announced special in-game bundles at discounted prices as a fundraiser for the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, and to date sales have already resulted in over $75,000 raised.

According to a press release from digital retailer Fanatical, the Star Trek Online Charity Bundle, with two tiers of ships and upgrades, “has been a hit with sci-fi fans so far, with every purchase helping to raise the already staggering amount for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA).” Items start at just $1, with all proceeds going to benefit the charity. The bundle was set out to celebrate the launch of Star Trek Online’s latest update, Season 24 “Reflections” starring Chase Masterson.

The bundle is available through October 6th, and everyone who makes a purchase will be automatically entered to win a berth on Star Trek: The Cruise V, a franchise-themed sea journey aboard Royal Caribbean’s Mariner of the Seas (an appropriately named ship for such an event). The winner of the cruise will also receive every available expansion pack for Star Trek Online, currently valued at over $720.

The release finishes by pointing to the good work of the Boys and Girls Clubs, saying, “THE BGCA provides children with safe and fun places to grow and thrive, offering mentoring life-enhancing programs - by purchasing this bundle and embarking on your intergalactic endeavor, you’ll be helping to fund these important projects for millions of young people.”

For your chance to win a cruise while enjoying great free-to-play Star Trek-style MMORPG action, all while making a difference in the lives of the next generation, head to Fanatical.com by October 6th.
