MAY 18, 2022 - Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has unseated the HBO Max series Our Flag Means Death as the show most in demand, according to the thewrap.com.

Powered by Parrot Analytics, the industry leader in measuring “global supply and demand for entertainment”, the data shows Strange New Worlds had a 92% increase in audience demand for last week ending last Friday. Taking “consumer research, streaming, downloads and social media, [and] other consumer engagement” into consideration, the series comes ahead of all other “breakout shows”, meaning a series which premiered in the last 100 days.

Right off the bat, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds received overwhelmingly positive reviews from media outlets. Data from The Wrap shows audiences feel the same way, with the series holding “31.5 times the average series demand”. Edging out Our Flag Means Death (which saw a 4.9% decline last week), Strange New Worlds also pushed the Disney+ series Moon Knight to third place on the list.

Parrot Analytics also determined audience demand for the Strange New Worlds to be 6.6 times greater than the “average TV series in the United States”. The data also shows the latest Star Trek series to be in high demand, placing Strange New Worlds above 85.6% of all Action and Adventure titles in the U.S. No data was listed from the Science Fiction and Fantasy genre.

The data doesn’t lie. Strange New Worlds appears to be a hit!

If you haven’t jumped aboard the Enterprise with Captain Pike yet, there’s plenty of time to get caught up. The first three episodes are currently airing, with a new episode every week. Download the Paramount+ app, or visit paramountplus.com to learn more, and to subscribe.
