We saw the New York Comic Con trailer for the new series, which we reported on from NYCC.  and the fans lost a fair amount of grey matter! There was a Sovereign-class starship there.  A Sovereign class?  A SOVEREIGN class!  Is it our beloved Enterprise E, last seen in 2002’s Star Trek: Nemesis?

Terry has built us up, just to let us know… No, it’s not! On his Twitter feed @TerryMatalas he broke the news that it isn’t our E, but it is a Sovereign-class ship.

Though it would have been good to see the old favorite fly one again, it also seems unlikely since we’ve had an unofficial cannon of the Enterprise–J which Terry seems to endorse. So. There we have it folks, no Enterprise E in Picard 3.  But we are in for quite the ride.  

We’re officially less than two months away and the excitement is growing day by day.
