The casts of Star Trek: Discovery and Star Trek: Picard reveal their quarantine book, game and TV picks

Data and Picard play cards in Star Trek: Picard

Whether you’re looking for new things to watch and do, looking to learn more about Star Trek celebs, or looking to see what you have in common with them, IGN has a revealing look at how some of the stars of Discovery and Picard are passing their stay-at-home time.

Sonequa Martin-Green, Star Trek: Discovery’s Michael Burnham, plays a bunch of kid games. Tiny kid games. “We play lots of games with our son every day,” says Martin-Green. “We play number games, card games, hide and seek with walkie talkies, whatever we can think of! We just finished a game of Monopoly for my husband’s birthday because it’s one of his all time favorites.”

Playing no games are Wilson Cruz (Discovery’s Dr. Culber) and Brent Spiner (Picard’s Commander Data). “I don’t play games,” says Spiner. “I hate all games. I don’t like winning, and I don’t like losing. So, what’s the point?”

For comfort viewing, Spiner turns to the US version of the comedy series The Office, while Isa Briones, Picard’s Soji and/or Dahj, will be watching that for the first time.

Jonathan Del Arco, Hugh on Star Trek: Picard, is producing a podcast (because you can never have too many of those). His podcast, Hollywood Caucus, features long-form interviews with the likes of Kyra Sedgwick, Mary McDonnell, and Picard co-stars Jeri Ryan, Michelle Hurd, and Sir Patrick Stewart.

In addition to all those, the IGN piece also has recommendations from Evan Evagora and Alison Pill (no relation). It’s a list full of lists! Worth checking out if you’re looking for something to do, or just want to know what the stars are up to.
