The LLAPy Awards Are Back and Voting Is Now Open

DECEMBER 21, 2023 - Voting is open for the second annual LLAPy Awards! This is the only Star Trek-exclusive awards show and you as a fan can have your voice heard! I assume LLAPy stands for “Live, Long and Prosper”, however, I’m not sure what the “y” stands for, and it's not on their website. If you have any idea, please let us know! I’m very curious.

Voting has been extended until Friday at 11:59 pm PST so make sure you act fast. You can vote using this Google Form. The goal of the LLAPy Awards is to show what fans think the best of Star Trek is so make sure you vote!

The  LLAPy’s are a part of this year’s 5th annual Virtual Trek Con which is airing February 15-19, 2024 on the Virtual Trek Con YouTube. The awards themselves can be watched live on their YouTube at 8 pm EST on Sunday, February 18th. Virtual Trek Con always brings on some amazing guests and though they have yet to release their guest list for 2024 some of their past guests include Doug Jones who plays Saru in DISCO, Michelle Hurd who plays Raffi in Picard, Nana Visitor, who played Kira in DS9, and the first Virtual Trek Con even featured a special message from Nichelle Nichols, who played Uhura in TOS. Needless to say, Virtual Trek Con is a pretty big deal.

The awards show is divided into 3 categories with different awards in each category. The categories are Legacy (series and movies before 2017), Star Trek Universe (all Star Trek series and movies), New/Current Trek (all Star Trek released in 2023), and Just for Fun! Just for Fun features some amazing questions such as “Which four Star Trek characters would make the best ABBA cover band?” and “Which two characters would make the funniest ‘Tuvix’ combo?” Remember to go vote using the Google Form linked above!
