The Orville Adds Anne Winters as a Series Regular

The Orville has added a new series regular to its cast for season three.

Deadline reported on Monday that actor Anne Winters will be joining Seth MacFarlane’s Trek-alike show when it airs on Hulu next Fall. Winters is a young actress with an impressive resume to her name, but she’s probably best known for her role as Chloe Rice on Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why. In the new season of The Orville, Winters will play a character called Charly Burke, although Deadline was unable to give any more details of what her role would be.

Production on the new season of The Orville is already underway. Filming started in October, and yesterday, the official Orville Twitter account posted a behind-the-scenes video of some of the early production work, including the writers’ room, special effects, and prosthetic makeup. Production on season three is expected to take longer than previous seasons, which is part of the rationale for the show’s move from Fox to Hulu.

The Orville season three is expected to land sometime in late 2020.
