JULY 14, 2023 – The Scribe Awards, from the International Association of Media Tie-In Writers, acknowledge and celebrate excellence in licensed tie-in works based on TV shows, movies, and games (video games, computer games, rpgs). This year the seventeenth annual Scribes include nominations for three Star Trek novels.

Jonathan Mayberry, president of IAMTW, announced the nominations on his Goodreads blog. Among the nominations are Harm’s Way by David Mack (Original Series) and High Country by John Jackson Miller (Strange New Worlds). Both titles are vying for the award in the Best Original Novel – Speculative category. The third nomination appears in the Best Young Adult / Middle Grade category, A Dangerous Trade by Cassandra Rose Clarke (Prodigy).

The full list of nominations follows, and a couple of other Trek novelists are also appearing, under different franchises. James Swallow has written in the Tom Clancy universe, and Peter David is sharing in a graphic novel entry.
