Star Trek First Contact: The Official Story of the Film is now available to pre-order

SEPTEMBER 14, 2021 - Among the myriad announcements on Star Trek Day 2021, September 8th, that continued to expand the Trek universe, was another announcement, which involves a look back into Star Trek production history.

In this, the 25th anniversary year of the film that introduced the Borg Queen and the events of First Contact Day, Titan Books tweeted the news of their upcoming book, Star Trek First Contact: The Official Story of the Film. The coffee-table book is being written by Joe Fordham and will include archival material, behind-the-scenes photography, concept art, and production designs, among other features. It will also offer new and exclusive interviews with cast and crew. Fordham is the coauthor of Titan’s Planet of the Apes: The Evolution of the Legend.

Star Trek: First Contact was released on November 22nd, 1996 and was directed by Jonathan Frakes. It garnered multiple award nominations and won several, including the BMI Film Music Award for composer Jerry Goldsmith and Saturn Awards for Brent Spiner (Best Supporting Actor), Alice Krige (Best Supporting Actress), and Deborah Everton (Best Costumes).

Star Trek First Contact: The Official Story of the Film is due to be released April 5th, 2022. It is available now for preorder at amazon.com or wherever you buy your books.
