It was today, January 13th, back in 1972 that Star Trek author Una McCormack was born. 2020 was a big year for McCormack, who had two major Star Trek novels released. The Star Trek: Picard prequel novel The Last Best Hope was released in February, and The Autobiography of Kathryn Janeway was released in October.

Outside of Star Trek, McCormack is a former creative writing lecturer out of Cambridge, in England. She’s written several science fiction and fantasy novels, including for the Doctor Who franchise.

Please join me in wishing Una McCormack a very happy 49th birthday.
