NOVEMBER 30, 2022 -

“Course, sir?”

“Earth, Long Island.”

“Speed, sir?”

“Warp two, we still have plenty of time to make it.”

May 20 and 21, 2023 will be a special time for Trek Fans in the Long Island area, (you can also book rooms and flights to get there too) as  TrekLongIsland has announced a special event for fans of all ages. From their website, describing the event:

Going Kindly where no one has gone before, until now!

Trek Long Island is a new Science Fiction convention hosted by the Library for the Kind . The Library for the Kind promotes books and  resources that celebrate diversity, inclusion, gender equality, LGBTQ+ and kindness. The organization is run by, you guessed it, librarians!

My hope for this convention is to share how Trek has celebrated diversity and inclusion since it was gifted to the world in 1966!  What can you expect to see at Trek Long Island?  Anything spanning from in-depth discussions about TOS, Trek's influence on Modern Day, Autism in Space, Gender on the Enterprise (They, Him, Her, Xi) and more!  I will be reaching out to celebrity guests that share this view of kindness too!

I want attendees to walk into Trek Long Island and know that they can be themselves or cosplay whoever they want.  You be You!

There are already a number of events lined up and the team is still working on much more to add to this event.  Autographs, photo studios, cosplay, children’s events. There are also already a number of celebrities scheduled to attend, including actors, authors, stunt doubles, make-up artists, and effects wizards, and more.

To see the full list of attendees and events (so far) warp over to their website and have a look. There is much more still to come, so bookmark it and keep an eye out.  We’ll see you there.

Thaddeus Tuffentsamer is an internationally selling author. His books have been sold in the US, the UK, Sweden, Germany, Singapore, South Korea, Japan, Italy, and France. He has a series of young reader novels, a satirical self-help book, (which, according to reviews, actually has some pretty solid counsel), and has joined the list of professional Sherlock Holmes authors.

He promises that his works will never contain profanity, gratuitous violence, or anything else that would prevent the entire family from enjoying them together.

He spends his days working in healthcare administration and in his evenings, in between plans for becoming “Lord Emperor of everything,” he types away at his keyboard letting his imagination out for the world to read.

He is fortunate to have a wonderful wife and two beautiful daughters. He currently lives in Goodyear Arizona with his wife.
