An Ewok Visited the Set of STAR TREK: STRANGE NEW WORLDS

The cutest ever behind the scenes photo was just released on the set of Strange New Worlds season three. Christina Chong,  who plays La'an Noonien-Singh, runs an instagram account for her dog, Runa Ewok. Runa actually appeared in Strange New Worlds season 1, during the fairy tale episode as Princess Runa, La’an’s dog. Chong recently released a photo of her beloved pet on the set.  The photo shows Runa Ewok sitting on a couch in the ready room with a caption that reads, “in the Ready Room ready for the day.” Not only is this the most adorable photo ever, it has fans hoping that maybe we’ll get to see another Runa cameo in the show.

Strange New Worlds season three began filming in December of 2023 and is set to wrap up in June of this year. Due to the amount of work needed in post-production, it is unlikely that we will be seeing season 3 on the big screen until 2025. With season 2 ending on a cliffhanger, we are all anxiously awaiting the next season, and will sadly have to wait at least another year. Though in the meantime, we can enjoy adorable set photos such as the one above. We also have plenty of other Star Trek to look forward to before Strange New Worlds such as Discovery season 5, Prodigy season 2, and Lower Decks season 5.
