NOVEMBER 18, 2021 - Star Trek: The Next Generation’s Geordi La Forge, LeVar Burton, is not letting that Jeopardy! business get in his way when it comes to hosting a game show. Burton is set to host a television version of the trivia game Trivial Pursuit, according to Variety.

The Canadian multinational entertainment company, Entertainment One (eOne) is developing the show, based on the Hasbro trivia game. eOne is a subsidiary of Hasbro.

Tara Long, president of global unscripted television for eOne, said of Burton, “His love for intellectual curiosity paired with his ability to connect with audiences worldwide make him the perfect partner to bring Hasbro’s beloved trivia game to households in a new and exciting way.” In addition to hosting, Burton will also executive produce the show along with Long and Geno McDermott, also from eOne, and Sangita Patel, from LeVar Burton Entertainment (LBE).

Burton himself said that he is thrilled to be bringing “one of the best-known brands in the gaming universe” to television, though there is currently no network attached to the project.
