Meme Review Monday’s back after a week off!

NOVEMBER 27, 2023 - Hello and welcome back to another Monday Meme Review. If you celebrate, I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We here at DSTN took the week off which was a nice break, however now I have 2 weeks worth of memes for you all, so let’s jump right in!

First up we have a meme from @robintreks on instagram.

As a pun lover, I found this to be very silly. I really appreciated this. I just sent out a survey that asked this exact question so this was doubly silly to me.

Next up we have a meme from @scherzokinn on Tumblr.

I love memes that make fun of Sarek for being a Vulcan. That man sure lacks logic. I’m not sure what he expected to happen when he had a child with a human. Poor Spock and all his daddy issues.

Speaking of Spock, I think this meme from @guineverslancelot on Tumblr perfectly sums up the difference between SNW and TOS Spock.

I really think this meme speaks (or sings) for itself. I would love to see TOS Spock meet SNW Spock, I’m sure that would be very interesting. I honestly didn’t love the musical episode at first but now that I’ve rewatched it a couple of times I love it.

Speaking of rewatching Star Trek, this meme from @startrek_memes on Instagram is perfect.

I definitely do this. I have a confession to make… I have never seen Star Trek: Enterprise, however, instead of watching Enterprise, I chose to rewatch my favorite TNG episodes over and over again. I also recently rewatched Discovery for no good reason.

Next up, we have a meme from @trecasttng on Instagram that I absolutely love.

I love Brent Spiner and I think he did an absolutely amazing job playing all of these different characters. He managed to make them all very distinct, which we can really see in season 3 of Picard. His acting there was some of the best I’ve ever seen.

Next up we have a meme from @spocks-bikini-and-datas-bra on Tumblr.

This is hilarious and the editing is immaculate. My favorite is definitely the Wil Wheaties. I love how they photoshopped present-day Wil Wheaton’s face onto Wesley. I also found the phrase “Please State the Nature of the Nutritional Emergency '' on the Picardos to be very funny, especially because Cheerios have exactly 0 nutritional value.

Next up we have a meme sent to me by my friend Alex (hi Alex!)

I hate this meme with every fiber of my being. It is painful to look at. The longer I look the worse it gets. I don’t know who made this meme but I hope whoever did will forever lose socks in the dryer so that they can never have a matching pair, maybe then they will begin to understand the pain this meme put me through. Now I am subjecting you all to this meme so you can understand my fury.

Finally, last but not least, we have a meme made by yours truly.

This is exactly what happened to me, and I’m sure many of you who celebrate Thanksgiving. I have discovered that I really cannot hold up a conversation with anyone in my family without mentioning Star Trek at least once.

Ok, that’s all I have for you all this week! I’ll see you next Monday!
