Never Surrender: A Galaxy Quest Documentary is Coming to Theaters for One Night Only

A new documentary about the making of one of the greatest Star Trek films ever - Galaxy Quest - is coming to theaters for one day only, courtesy of Fathom Events and Screen Junkies.

Never Surrender: A Galaxy Quest Documentary, is a new production by Screen Junkies, who premiered the trailer on their YouTube channel, yesterday. The feature film-length documentary will feature interviews with the original cast, as well as famous fans, including Brent Spiner and Wil Wheaton.

The official description of the film reads: “By all accounts, it was a movie that beat all odds: Surviving a set fire, the loss of a powerful director, and a studio that didn’t understand what it had, ‘Galaxy Quest’ turned into a pop-culture phenomenon that would ‘never give up, never surrender.’ As the cult classic nears its 20th anniversary – premiering on December 25, 1999 – ‘Never Surrender: A Galaxy Quest Documentary’ explores how the science-fiction comedy became an enduring fan favorite, a movie that helped launch the sci-fi- and fantasy-driven movie and TV industry that dominates global entertainment today.”

The documentary will air in theaters across the U.S. on November 26th only, and will feature a special video introduction and the premiere of the Galaxy Quest Honest Trailer by Screen Junkies. Tickets are available to purchase now, on the Fathom Events website.
