Massively multiplayer online role-playing game Star Trek Online is raising money for the fight against breast cancer, and turning the game pink while they do it. In a blog post yesterday, Star Trek Online announced that they are teaming up with digital media bundle website Groupees to offer several exclusive sets of digital assets for the game, the proceeds of which will go to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

For a minimum of $1, you can purchase a pink vanity pack, which includes the following in-game assets: a pink tribble, a pink Risian lunarian caracal, a pink vanity shield to wear proudly on your starship, and a pink ribbon to wear on your uniform. Higher-tier packs get you the pink vanity pack plus selected premium starships, but hurry, there are a limited number of those left. If you do happen to miss it, there’s no need to worry, because you can still get the pink vanity packs, available in unlimited quantities for the duration of the campaign. As an added bonus, the top four contributors to the fundraiser will be rewarded with a real-life pink tribble from Tribble Toys.

As of this recording, players have already contributed over $35,000 to the cause. Star Trek Online’s fundraising campaign for the National Breast Cancer Foundation is on for a limited time, and you can find out more by visiting Star Trek Online’s website.
