AUGUST 9, 2021 - With the second season of Star Trek: Lower Decks premiering this week, a new set of production stills from the first two episodes has been made available by Paramount+. From the look of things, we can expect to see an exciting second season from the crew of the Cerritos.

At the end of season one, Chief of Security Shaxs was lost in battle. Rutherford had lost his memory. And young Ensign Boimler was promoted and transferred to the U.S.S. Titan under the leadership of Captain Will Riker.

Season two will undoubtedly pick up where the first season left off. Some of the stills were also seen in the recently released season two trailer, including Tendi, Mariner and Rutherford discussing Boimler’s transfer while Mariner sits in the brig. Another shows the newest member of the Cerritos crew - a Tamarian (as seen in the TNG episode “Darmok”) - who is presumably replacing the lovable Bajoran Shaxs as security chief aboard the ship.

Why is Mariner in the brig? How will Boimler cope working aboard the Titan? Will Rutherford regain his memory?

Have a look through the rest of the stills from the upcoming first and second episodes and get ready for a wild ride in season two. The first episode premiers on Paramount+, August 12th.
