STAR TREK: DISCOVERY Season 5 To Premiere At Famous Film, TV and Music Festival

Star Trek Discovery’s 5th and final season is set to debut in April of this year. We have already gotten 2 sneak peeks into the new season which you can read about here. In addition to that, the episode titles for the new season were recently released. You can read our analysis of those here. On top of all of that we just got a premiere date for season 5. 

Discovery season 5 episode 1 will premiere at the South X Southwest Film and TV Festival. The festival runs from March 8th-16th in Austin Texas. In addition to the premiere there will also be a Q&A panel hosted by Paramount+ however they have yet to release the guest list. There is also no set date for the premiere during the festival.

The premiere will be of Discovery season 5, episode 1, titled “Red Detective.” The synopsis of the episode is as follows:

Captain Burnham and the U.S.S. Discovery are sent to retrieve a mysterious 800-year-old Romulan vessel; until the artifact hidden inside is stolen, leading to an epic chase. Meanwhile, Saru is offered the position of a lifetime, and Tilly’s efforts to help pull her into a tangled web of secrecy.
