Club IDIC 2022 Watch Party & Discussions: Ongoing from Friday, February 11

A weekly event, which will take up station in The Regular Stuff, has come to our attention and is continuing this Friday. At 6pm Alberta Time, Club IDIC will be watching and discussing the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine season six episode, “You Are Cordially Invited.” The watch party schedule for 2022 and Zoom links are available at the Club IDIC Facebook page.

What Could Be More Romantic Than a Klingon Valentine????: Friday, February 11 – Sunday, February 13

JG Hertzler and Robert O’Reilly will be reembodying their Klingon alter egos this weekend at the Star Trek Original Series Set Tour, in Ticonderoga, New York. Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country Screening and Panel Discussion: Tuesday, February 15

The Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles is hosting this screening and panel discussion, which will include director Nicholas Meyer and producer Steven-Charles Jaffe. More information and tickets are available from the Skirball Cultural Center.

George Takei Private Signing: Wednesday, February 16th

Orders are due next Wednesday at 11:59pm ET for the latest Galaxy Con private signing, this time with George Takei. Autographs are available on a choice of photos, posters, and Funko Pops. For all the details head over to GalaxyCon.

The Regular Stuff

  • These are the Twitter watchalongs:

    • #allstartrek runs Sunday through Friday at 8/7C and follows the Heroes and Icons Channel’s All Star Trek programme.

    • #TOSSatNight starts at 9pm PT on Saturday night and follows a different episode of The Original Series every week, and

    •  #StarTrekHour is a Q&A-format event, every Tuesday at 1pm PT.

  • Then there’s Star Trek: Watch Party, hosted daily and coordinated on Facebook. Every evening, they use the Teleparty browser extension to watch Star Trek together. To find out more, head over to Star Trek: Watch Party on Facebook.

  • Speaking of a Star Trek watch party: the iBlind Users Group hosts Trekkie Talk on the first and third Thursdays of every month. They watch an audio descriptive version of a Star Trek episode and get together virtually to discuss it. To find out how to join in, visit ibugtoday.com/trekkie-talk.

  • But wait, there’s more watch partying! Club IDIC hosts a weekly watch party and discussion at 6pm Alberta Time every Friday. The schedule and Zoom links are available at the Club IDIC Facebook page.

  • To Proudly Go, a New York-based nonprofit, will be hosting Star Trek: Discovery season 4 viewing parties each Saturday (or the docuseries Center Seat while Discovery is on hiatus, January 15 – February 5, 2022). The gatherings begin at 6:00pm ET at the Barracuda Lounge in New York City. Tickets are free, and vaccination is required. The viewing parties also include Star Trek trivia games, special Star Trek-themed drag performances, two-for-one drinks, fabulous Star Trek prizes, and merchandise.   • Virtual Trek Con presents The Main Viewer every Tuesday - a live discussion show on YT with occasional special guests and an open chat geared towards fan interaction.

  • Disco Does DnD - livestream DnD game with DSC actors on Twitch, every Sunday at 1pmPT/4pmET

  • And finally, there’s Sid City Social Club, hosted by Star Trek: Deep Space Nine star Alexander Siddig’s official fan website. They meet twice-monthly on the first Tuesday and third Friday of every month, with occasional pop-up meetings with Sid as his schedule allows.
