Get your calendars ready for some Star Trek events!

Paramount+ is launching, but...you know...television isn’t for everyone, right?!

Who are we kidding? TV is definitely for everyone! But sometimes you just want to see real people anyway. And if that’s you this weekend then here! Have some Star Trek events to choose from!

Star Trek: Voyager’s Mark A. Sheppard Q&A at Creation Supernatural event - Saturday, March 6th

First up, on Saturday, March 6th, from 10:15am PT, Star Trek: Voyager guest star Mark A. Sheppard will be appearing at Creation’s virtual event for the show Supernatural. He’s got his own Q&A session, a meet and greet, and virtual one-on-ones scheduled, so if you’re interested, head to creationent.com for details.

Tribble Talk: Afrofuturism in Star Trek and Art - Saturday, March 6th

Also on Saturday, March 6th but slightly later at 2pm ET, Science Division, makers of official Star Trek app-enabled tribbles, are hosting another one of their Tribble Talk events. This one is called “Tribble Talk: Afrofuturism in Star Trek and Art”. Guest Justin Perry from Just Jenus Art will be leading the conversation with Science Division, over Zoom.

It’s free for anyone to attend; make sure you follow Science Division on Facebook and Twitter for more information, and they’ll post the link for the show on their website just before. That’s at sciencediv.com.

GalaxyCon Live: Klingons - Sunday, March 7th

Moving on to Sunday, March 7th now and GalaxyCon Live is back with another Star Trek-themed event, this one all about the Klingons. From 4pm ET, join actors J.G. Hertzler, Robert O’Reilly, and Gwynyth Walsh for a virtual Q&A.

As per usual, registration is free but required, and you can also purchase add-ons like one-on-one video chats and autographs, if you so desire. This event is also selling autographs from Suzie Plakson, even though she won’t be at the Q&A or doing video chats. For more information, visit galaxycon.com.

Star Trek: The Cruise virtual sailaway launch party - Sunday, March 7th

Then later on Sunday, starting at 5pm PT, it’s Star Trek: The Cruise’s virtual voyage. Join hosts Chase Masterson, Nana Visitor, Connor Trinneer and cruise director J.T. The party will be broadcast live on YouTube and feature chats with celebrities, an at-home door-decorating contest and the Cruise’s infamous pajama party, hosted by Chase Masterson.

The regular stuff

And finally, here’s a recap of the stuff that’s going on every week; if you haven’t joined in yet and you’re at a loose end, now would be a great time to do it.

  • These are the Twitter watchalongs:

    • #allstartrek runs Sunday through Friday at 8/7C and follows the Heroes and Icons Channel’s All Star Trek programme.

    • #TOSSatNight starts at 9pm PT on Saturday night and follows a different episode of The Original Series every week, and

    • #StarTrekHour is a Q&A-format event, every Tuesday at 1pm PT.

  • Then there’s Star Trek: Watch Party, hosted daily and coordinated on Facebook. Every evening, they use the Teleparty browser extension to watch Star Trek together. To find out more, head over to Star Trek: Watch Party on Facebook.

  • And finally, Sid City Social Club, hosted by Star Trek: Deep Space Nine star Alexander Siddig’s official fan website, is continuing their twice-weekly livestreams on Fridays and Tuesdays. To find out more, including how to join in, head to sidcity.net.

If you have an online event or gathering you’d like me to promote on the show, let me know! How are YOU getting together with your fellow Trekkies, without leaving the house?
