This weekend’s big draw: Sci-Fi Summit feat. the 55-Year Mission Tour

Sci-Fi Summit feat. 55-Year Mission Tour New Jersey - Friday, September 10th - Sunday, September 12th

First up for this weekend, Creation Entertainment’s Sci-Fi Summit featuring the 55-Year Mission Tour will take place from September 10th through 12th at the New Jersey Convention and Expo Center in Edison. Guests are scheduled to include William Shatner, Sonequa Martin-Green, Anthony Rapp, Mary Wiseman, Wilson Cruz, David Ajala, Mary Chieffo, Noah Averbach-Katz, Isa Briones, Michelle Hurd, Evan Evagora, Jonathan Del Arco, Terry Farrell, Nana Visitor, Connor Trinneer, and Jeffrey Combs. Crypticon Minneapolis - Friday, September 10th - Sunday, September 12th

Also from September 10th through 12th, Crypticon is taking place at the Crowne Plaza West, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Star Trek: The Next Generation’s Denise Crosby will be appearing, and her Q&A and photo ops are scheduled for Saturday. For more information, visit CrypticonMinneapolis.com.

“Open a Book, Open the World” feat. LeVar Burton - Sunday, September 12th

And on Sunday, September 12th, Star Trek: The Next Generation’s LeVar Burton will host a PBS television special introducing this year’s National Book Festival, which takes place September 17th through 26th. Burton will appear with the Librarian of Congress, Dr. Carla Hayden, and the show will feature 20 of the nation’s leading literary voices discussing their newest books and speaking to the festival theme, “Open a Book, Open the World.” The show will premiere at 6pm ET on PBS, PBS.org, and the PBS video app. For more on the one-hour special and on the 2021 Library of Congress National Book Festival, visit LOC.gov.

  • These are the Twitter watchalongs:

    • #allstartrek runs Sunday through Friday at 8/7C and follows the Heroes and Icons Channel’s All Star Trek programme.

    • #TOSSatNight starts at 9pm PT on Saturday night and follows a different episode of The Original Series every week, and

    • #StarTrekHour is a Q&A-format event, every Tuesday at 1pm PT.
