JULY 28, 2021 - Heads up, international “Lower Deckers”! A post on StarTrek.com announced on Tuesday that season two of Star Trek: Lower Decks is coming to Amazon Prime Video on Friday, August 13th, just one day after the season premiere on Paramount+. Huzzah!

Audiences in Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, India “and more” will be able to stream the series the following day, unlike the first season of Lower Decks (many of you will know what I’m talking about!). Harkening back to 2020, while Star Trek: Picard was already contracted to stream on Amazon Prime Video outside of the United States and Canada, international distribution of Lower Decks was still undecided. This left international Star Trek fans waiting more than five months to stream the series after its initial premiere. Thankfully, the wait for season two episodes will be just 24 hours (or less).

Once again, season two of Lower Decks will premiere internationally on Amazon Prime Video on August 13th, 2021, following the exclusive premiere on Paramount+ August 12th. That’s only two weeks away, so now is a great time to get caught up on the first season of Lower Decks, available to stream now.
