SEPTEMBER 27, 2022 - You might know their names, their registry numbers, their layouts, and their crews. And while their crews naturally get much of the attention on screen and elsewhere, the time has come to celebrate the ships that carry those crews into the final frontier.

According to a press release, Cryptic Studios’ Star Trek Online, alongside Modiphius’ Star Trek Adventures, in partnership with the Streampunks, have announced Star Trek Fleet Week. Beginning October 10 and ending October 15. With an all-day panel event, Admiralty Day, Star Trek Fleet Week is a celebration of the starships of Star Trek.

The Fleet Week web page notes, “Like their crews, the audience comes to know the ships of Star Trek as characters themselves. These starships are homes, they are protectors, and they are companions. For decades fans have discussed, dissected, designed, and depicted Star Trek starships. For over half a century, the starships of Star Trek have inspired scientists, artists, and even politicians to imagine a hopeful future for humanity.”

The panels for Admiralty Day include Dr. Erin Macdonald and Dr. Mohammed Noor, science advisors on Star Trek: Discovery; John Eaves, a concept artist who has designed three Enterprises and worked on the Star Trek franchise for over 30 years; Bonnie Gordon, the voice of the USS Protostar on Star Trek: Prodigy; Rick Sternbach, a concept artist and science advisor who designed the USS Voyager; and Andrew Jarvis, an artist for Star Trek: Picard.

Other live streams and panels are scheduled throughout the week, and all the Fleet Week events will be live-streamed on Cryptic Studios’ Twitch channel.
