NOVEMBER 7, 2023 - This year is the Second Annual Children’s & Family Emmy Awards, and for the second year in a row Star Trek: Prodigy has been nominated. They are nominated for Sound Mixing and Sound Editing for an Animated Program, alongside Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons, I Am Groot, Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight, and Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Last year Prodigy was nominated for Outstanding Animated Series and the Production Designer, Alessandro Taini, won an award for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Children’s Animation, which is a Jury award. The Jury awards for this year will be announced at the end of this month so it is possible for Prodigy to receive even more awards.

Prodigy has been through a lot this year with getting booted from Paramount+ and then getting picked up by Netflix. Now it is even clearer that getting rid of Prodigy was a mistake for Paramount+ because for the second time since its cancellation Prodigy has been nominated for an award. Earlier this year it was nominated for a different Emmy Award

However, despite all these awards, Netflix has yet to announce when Prodigy will be going to their platform. It wasn’t included in their November release announcement so it is currently looking like Prodigy will make its way to Netflix in December.
