SEPTEMBER 20, 2022 - IDW Publishing has an impressive lineup of titles that they publish each month, with many franchises to delight readers of all ages and genres. This month, however, we take a look at a very special comic in particular.

As a true delight to fans of all things Star Trek, this month they produced Star Trek # 400. This is an anthology edition with several stories, from several writers, and several art styles, covering several Treks.

The real standout story is written by Will Wheaton himself and it’s a heart-touching special. The Traveler who used to be known as Wesley Crusher has now traveled the universe for eons, and in doing so he’s saved countless civilizations.

But even Travelers are not immortal and the actual existence of the universe rests on Wesley making a crucial decision! If he makes the wrong one, it will spell catastrophe for all life everywhere. In order to get the guidance that he so desperately needs, he turns to the only person who can help talk him through what he needs to do. Jean-Luc Picard. Thirty years have passed for his former captain, but it’s literally been eons for the Traveler. With so much at stake, he needs to remember something that he’d learned thousands of years ago.

Will Wheaton has written a phenomenal story that shows what his character has grown to, yet grounding us in the fact that he’s still very much Human, and Wesley Crusher at heart. It is a delightful read that does not disappoint.

Thaddeus Tuffentsamer is an internationally selling author. His books have been sold in the US, the UK, Sweden, Germany, Singapore, South Korea, Japan, Italy, and France. He has a series of young reader novels, a satirical self-help book, (which, according to reviews, actually has some pretty solid counsel), and has joined the list of professional Sherlock Holmes authors.

He promises that his works will never contain profanity, gratuitous violence, or anything else that would prevent the entire family from enjoying them together.

He spends his days working in healthcare administration and in his evenings, in between plans for becoming “Lord Emperor of everything,” he types away at his keyboard letting his imagination out for the world to read.

He is fortunate to have a wonderful wife and two beautiful daughters. He currently lives in Goodyear Arizona with his wife.
