OCTOBER 18, 2021 - “I have a new book out… Spoiler alert: It’s not just for kids!” So tweeted LeVar Burton last week, announcing A Kids Book About Imagination.

Burton, Star Trek: The Next Generation’s Geordi La Forge, who also hosted PBS’s Reading Rainbow, “continues his mission to inspire, entertain, and educate,” according to the book’s author bio. His latest book since The Rhino Who Swallowed a Storm is part of the A Kids Book About series, which features topics ranging from diversity and divorce to creativity and climate change.

The publisher says about the book, “What is imagination? Most of us think of it as playing pretend or what happens when we’re dreaming, but imagination takes us to worlds and galaxies beyond that. Imagination helps us travel between time, space, and reality. It gives us the power to dream up the world in our own vision and encourages us to think of not just what is, but what could be. Imagination is a superpower that unlocks endless possibilities, and all by asking one simple question: what if?”

The book is expected to begin shipping next month, and you can preorder it at AKidsCo.com.
