In the riveting fourth installment of “The Scorpius Run,” the Enterprise hurtles towards the climactic finale of Zephyx's treacherous space race. The crew faces an internal betrayal as ship controls are seized, leaving Captain Pike grappling with visions of imminent disaster. Meanwhile, Spock finds himself entwined with the telepathic Uvix ship, adding a compelling layer to the narrative.

The Uvix, a formidable species, becomes an unexpected ally, challenging Star Trek's thematic exploration of compassion and hypocrisy. The telepathically controlled ship showcases advanced technology, absorbing attacks effortlessly and hinting at its potential significance in overcoming Zephyx's challenges.

On the Enterprise, the stakes rise as Aisla takes control, holding Sam Kirk as leverage. Parrott masterfully depicts Pike's resilience and strategic prowess, culminating in a timely recapture of the ship. The alliance formed, though somewhat questionable, emphasizes the values of unity within Starfleet.

The storyline seamlessly weaves between the Uvix ship and the Enterprise, maintaining a gripping pace. The dynamic artwork by Angel Hernandez and Nick Filardi captures the essence of the characters and the intricate interiors of the Uvix ship. The mind-meld sequence between Spock and the ship stands out as a visually stunning highlight.

As the narrative unfolds, the race takes unexpected turns, propelling the Enterprise into a perilous new space. The crew, mostly reunited and aided by Spock, faces a harrowing fight for survival. The issue concludes with a haunting image of the Enterprise coming apart, promising more challenges and danger in the final installment.

In this penultimate chapter of "The Scorpius Run," Ryan Parrott skilfully leverages the space race concept, introducing intriguing characters like Zephyx and Aisla. The unique attributes of the Uvix and their ship add depth to the Star Trek universe. The storyline, complemented by stellar artwork, keeps readers on the edge of their seats, eagerly anticipating the series' resolution. Star Trek: Strange New Worlds - “The Scorpius Run" continues to deliver a thrilling and visually captivating exploration of the final frontier.

Can’t wait for the final issue and be able to read the full story through from issue #1 to #5 as I think it will read a good bit better in what has already been a great story.
