Daily Star Trek News is taking two weeks off after Christmas, so please find herewith a bumper events listing, to last you all the way through the 13th of January.

Virtual Trek Con presents: 12 Days of CONtent - from Wednesday, December 23rd

On now - Virtual Trek Con presents: 12 Days of CONtent, which stretches into January. They’re planning a mix of pre-recorded content from past Virtual Trek Cons, and live content new for this one, with the aim of giving Trek fans something fun to look forward to every day of the rest of the year.

Among other amazing panels and events, I’ll be appearing with the Women at Warp on a Star Trek Year in Review panel, next Tuesday, December 29th at 6pm PT. That’ll be broadcast live on Women at Warp’s Facebook page at facebook.com/womenat warp.

Then for information on the rest of the 12 days of content, check out Virtual Trek Con at facebook.com/virtualtrekcon.

GalaxyCon Live: David Warner with the cast of Tron - Saturday, December 26th

Next up, Star Trek veteran David Warner is appearing with Bruce Boxleitner and Cindy Morgan as part of GalaxyCon Live’s Tron Q&A on Saturday, December 26th. The event starts at 12pm ET.

Registration is required for the Q&A and you can also purchase one-on-one video chats, autographed photos, and even an autographed Funko POP! Figure. For more, visit galaxycon.com.

Star Trek Bible Study - Monday, December 28th

Then next Monday, December 28th, join in with Star Trek bible study. Dust off your bible and the Prime Directive to join fellow Trekkies Josh and Gillian as they play sommelier between episodes of Deep Space 9 and the Bible. They’ll watch and discuss an episode of DS9, cross-referencing it with passages of scripture and their own life experiences.

The meeting takes place over Zoom and a chat app while watching the episode, and it’s free. You can get more information by emailing star-trek-bible-study@googlegroups.com.

GalaxyCon Live: Star Trek: Deep Space Nine - Sunday, January 3rd

And finally, the first event of the new year, on Sunday, January 3rd, 2021, some of the cast of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine is holding a Q&A with GalaxyCon Live. Terry Farrell, Armin Shimerman, Nana Visitor and Andrew Robinson are expected to be there.

As with the Tron event, registration is free but required for the Q&A, and you can purchase autographs and video chats if you like. Once again, visit galaxycon.com for more information.

The regular stuff

And of course, here’s a recap of the stuff that’s going on every week; if you haven’t joined in yet and you’re at a loose end, now would be a great time to do it.

  • These are the Twitter watchalongs:

    • #allstartrek runs Sunday through Friday at 8/7C and follows the Heroes and Icons Channel’s All Star Trek programme.

    • #TOSSatNight starts at 9pm PT on Saturday night and follows a different episode of the Original Series every week, and

    • #StarTrekHour is a Q&A-format event, every Tuesday at 1pm PT.

  • Then there’s Star Trek: Watch Party, hosted daily and coordinated on Facebook. Every evening, they use the Teleparty browser extension to watch Star Trek together. To find out more, head over to Star Trek: Watch Party on Facebook.

  • And finally, Sid City Social Club, hosted by Star Trek: Deep Space Nine star Alexander Siddig’s official fan website, is continuing their twice-weekly livestreams on Fridays and Tuesdays. To find out more, including how to join in, head to sidcity.net.

If you have an online event or gathering you’d like me to promote on the show, let me know! How are YOU getting together with your fellow Trekkies, without leaving the house?
