Sid City Social Club - Friday, July 2nd

First up, thanks to the great success of their previous event, Sid City Social Club is hosting another special pop-up event with Star Trek: Deep Space Nine’s Alexander Siddig. That’s happening this Friday, July 2nd at 9pm ET.

It’s free to attend Sid City Social Club, but space is limited and it’s first-come, first-served. For more information, including how to join in, visit sidcity.net/socialclub.

InConJunction 40 w/Dr. Mohamed Noor - Saturday, July 3rd

Then on Saturday, July 3rd, at 11am ET, Dr. Mohamed Noor, Star Trek science adviser and friend of us here at Daily Star Trek News, will be appearing on a virtual panel with Dr. Katie Mack at InConJunction 40. They’ll be talking about science and “general nerdery”.

The in-person con is taking place at the Indianapolis Marriott East all weekend, and you can buy virtual passes as well. To find out more, including how to buy tickets and the precautions they’re taking at the in-person event, head to inconjunction.org.

Shore Leave 41.6 - Saturday, July 10th - Sunday, July 11th

Moving on to next week now, and Shore Leave Convention 41.6 (the online version of the con) is happening on Saturday, July 10th and Sunday, July 11th. Plenty of Star Trek-related authors and scientists will be there, including Kirsten Beyer, Peter David, David Mack, Dayton Ward, and Dr. Erin Macdonald, among many others.

GalaxyCon Live: Star Trek: The Next Generation virtual experience - Sunday, July 11th

Also next Sunday, July 11th at 1pm ET, some of the cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation will be on a virtual panel for GalaxyCon Live. It’ll be Denise Crosby, Marina Sirtis, Jonathan Frakes and John de Lancie, and as per usual, you can purchase autographs and one-on-one video chats in addition to attending the free panel.

Wizard World Signature Series: Once Upon a Time w/Raphael Sbarge - July 11th

And finally, also on Sunday, July 11th at 1pm ET, Raphael Sbarge is appearing at the Wizard World Signature Series event for Once Upon a Time with his co-star Keegan Connor Tracy. In addition to playing Jiminy Cricket on the series, Sbarge also played Kazon spy Michael Jonas in Star Trek: Voyager. The virtual Q&A costs $3.99 to attend, and you can also upgrade to a series pass, or purchase autographs or one-on-one video chats.

The regular stuff

  • These are the Twitter watchalongs:

    • #allstartrek runs Sunday through Friday at 8/7C and follows the Heroes and Icons Channel’s All Star Trek programme.

    • #TOSSatNight starts at 9pm PT on Saturday night and follows a different episode of The Original Series every week, and

    • #StarTrekHour is a Q&A-format event, every Tuesday at 1pm PT.

  • Then there’s Star Trek: Watch Party, hosted daily and coordinated on Facebook. Every evening, they use the Teleparty browser extension to watch Star Trek together. To find out more, head over to Star Trek: Watch Party on Facebook.

  • And finally, there’s Sid City Social Club, hosted by Star Trek: Deep Space Nine star Alexander Siddig’s official fan website.
