FanExpo Chicago: Thursday, July 7 – Sunday, July 10

Jonathan Frakes, Gates McFadden, and John de Lancie will be appearing at FanExpo Chicago on Saturday and Sunday this weekend. (Brent Spiner and LeVar Burton have cancelled). The con is happening at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, in Rosemont, Illinois. All the details are at FanExpoHQ.

Montreal Comiccon: Friday, July 8 – Sunday, July 10

Malcolm McDowell, Alice Krige, and Wilson Cruz (Saturday and Sunday for Mr. Cruz) are scheduled to appear at Montreal Comiccon, taking place at the Palais des congrès de Montréal. You don’t need a passport to head over to Montreal Comiccon for more information.

London Film and Comic Con: Friday, July 8 – Sunday, July 10

Join a plethora of Star Trek guests (and others) at the London Film and Comic Con this weekend, including a Tribute to Star Trek. The event is happening at the Olympia London, and all the skinny is at London Film and Comic Con.

Think & Drink: Star Trek: ongoing and beginning Thursday, July 7

New to the Regular Stuff will be Think & Drink: Star Trek. Beginning tonight, July 7, join Grey Havens Philosophy and Outworld Brewing every first Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. as they discuss the big ideas inspired by Star Trek. The gatherings are at Outworld Brewing, in Longmont, Colorado. Attendance is free, but an RSVP for planning purposes is appreciated at Eventbrite.

Watch Trek – Look Forward: Monday, July 11

Join Watch Trek – Look Forward for another watch party and discussion. This time around, they will be discussing holodeck ethics. The event begins at 6:30pm PT, and free registration is available at Watch Trek – Look Forward.

The Regular Stuff

·These are the Twitter watchalongs:

o   #allstartrek runs Sunday through Friday at 8/7C and follows the Heroes and Icons Channel’s All Star Trek programme.

o   #TOSSatNight starts at 9pm PT on Saturday night and follows a different episode of The Original Series every week, and

o   #StarTrekHour is a Q&A-format event, every Tuesday at 1pm PT.

·Then there’s Star Trek: Watch Party, hosted daily and coordinated on Facebook. Every evening, they use the Teleparty browser extension to watch Star Trek together. To find out more, head over to Star Trek: Watch Party on Facebook.

·Speaking of a Star Trek watch party: the iBlind Users Group hosts Trekkie Talk on the first and third Thursdays of every month. They watch an audio descriptive version of a Star Trek episode and get together virtually to discuss it. To find out how to join in, visit ibugtoday.com/trekkie-talk.

·But wait, there’s more watch partying: Club IDIC hosts a weekly watch party and discussion at 6pm Alberta Time every Friday. The schedule and Zoom links are available at the Club IDIC Facebook page.

·To Proudly Go, a New York-based nonprofit, will be hosting Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 1 viewing parties each Saturday. The gatherings begin at 6:00pm ET at the Barracuda Lounge in New York City. Tickets are free, and vaccination is required. The viewing parties also include Star Trek trivia games, special Star Trek-themed drag performances, two-for-one drinks, fabulous Star Trek prizes, and merchandise. ·Virtual Trek Con presents The Main Viewer every Tuesday - a live discussion show on YT with occasional special guests and an open chat geared towards fan interaction.

·Disco Does DnD - livestream DnD game with DSC actors on Twitch, every Sunday at 1pmPT/4pmET.
