JUNE 6, 2022 - What a long, strange trip it’s been. Well, strange, yes, but maybe not long enough. This week brings the finale of season one of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.

In episode 10, “A Quality of Mercy,” just as Captain Pike thinks he’s figured out how to escape his fate, he’s visited by his future self, who shows him the consequences of his actions. Based on the photos for this episode, the captain also receives a visit from Captain Batel, played by Melanie Scrofano, whom we last saw at Pike’s place before he shipped out on the Enterprise – or had even decided to – way back in episode one. She appears to be joining Captain Pike for another of his home-cooked meals.

The other photos show various shots of the crew on the bridge, as well as Samuel Kirk sitting across from the captain’s desk.

“A Quality of Mercy” was written by executive producers Henry Alonso Myers and Akiva Goldsman. It was directed by co-executive producer Chris Fisher. This is Fisher's first episode directing.

This final episode for the season drops Thursday, July 7 on Paramount+, and you can watch a trailer on Twitter.
