JUNE 7, 2022 - Star Trek: Prodigy, the original animated series which debuted on Paramount+ in October of 2021, will finally become a staple of Nickelodeon’s program schedule beginning tomorrow, July 8.

In the one-hour premiere, “Lost & Found,” which originally aired on Nickelodeon in a special event last December, Dal must gather an unlikely crew for their newfound ship if they are going to escape Tars Lamora, but The Diviner and his daughter Gwyn have other plans.

The first ten episodes - currently available on Paramount+ - will air Fridays on Nickelodeon through August 5. The second half of the season is expected to become available later this year. However, there is no word yet if those episodes will air concurrently on both Paramount+ and Nickelodeon.

Global rollout of the new series is certainly in full swing. In April 0f 2020, Star Trek: Prodigy began airing in France, Spain, Portugal, the United Kingdom, and Central and Eastern Europe, as well as Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Nigeria, and South Africa.

In anticipation of the series’ arrival on Nickelodeon, Claudia Spinelli (Senior Vice President, Big Kids Animation, Nickelodeon) told audiences, “Generations of fans around the globe love Star Trek, and we’re so excited to introduce our young audience to the franchise when Star Trek: Prodigy airs on Nickelodeon this Summer.” Spinelli said she feels Prodigy is a “perfect fit” for the network. She added, “The Nick DNA is woven into the heartwarming friendships, high-stakes action, and beautiful animation.”

Season one of Star Trek: Prodigy begins airing Fridays at 8 pm EST on Nickelodeon, July 8th through August 5th, with “Lost and Found, Parts 1 & 2”.
