NOVEMBER 12, 2020 - Zachary Quinto will totally officiate your wedding dressed as Spock! For a million bucks. And...probably, no he won’t. But it’s fun to think about!

Star Trek’s own Spock (one of them, anyway), Quinto appeared on the Comedy Central web series Stir Crazy with Josh Horowitz. SYFY WIRE picked up on the show and zeroed in on one tiny segment: when host Horowitz asked Quinto if he’d ever had any crazy requests from fans, like, say, officiating a wedding for $1 million, Quinto responded, “I would 100% do that. [...] I will do my own hair and makeup. I will go wherever you’re getting married.” He then went on to say that maybe that’s a business he should start for himself.

That wasn’t the only Spock talk in the Stir Crazy episode, though. Quinto also talked about what it took to get in character for the Spock role, specifically what it took to get his eyebrows in character. When Horowitz asked him which of his costumes over the years affected his personal life the most, he named his Spock eyebrows without hesitating. explained, “Shaving my eyebrows for months on end when I’m doing a Star Trek movie is certainly the most intrusive, [...] burdensome alteration that I need to make.” He showed off how much of his eyebrows he shaved (maybe half?) and lamented having to explain his appearance to people for five months or so.

Fortunately for him (unfortunately for us), there are no current plans for another Star Trek movie in the near future. Last we heard, the film side of the franchise was “on hold” as Paramount Pictures’ Emma Watts made a decision on its direction.
