Mayday for Humanity with John de Lancie - Thursday, May 6th

First up, John de Lancie is participating in Mayday for Humanity, a fundraiser as part of the National Day of Reason. That takes place tomorrow evening, May 6th, at 7pm ET.

Casperia Con Star Trek watch party featuring Robert Picardo - Thursday, May 6th

Next up, Casperia Con presents a special medical-themed watch party tomorrow afternoon, Thursday, May 6th starting at 2pm PT. After watching the Star Trek: Voyager episode “Macrocosm”, there’s a panel discussion featuring a group of infectious disease professionals presenting a status report on the COVID-19 pandemic. Voyager’s EMH, Robert Picardo, will also make an appearance, and there’s an afterparty afterwards.

GalaxyCon Live: William Shatner and Christopher Lloyd - Saturday, May 8th

Then on Saturday, May 8th at 2pm PT, William Shatner and Christopher Lloyd are appearing at GalaxyCon Live, talking about Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, and their new movie, Senior Moment.

Star Trek science advisor Dr. Mohamed Noor @ SFABC general - Saturday, May 8th

Later on Saturday, at 4:30pm PT, Star Trek science adviser (and friend of Daily Star Trek News) Dr. Mohamed Noor will be appearing at the general meeting of the Science Fiction Association of Bergen County, out of Bergen County, NJ. It’s a virtual event, and Dr. Noor will be speaking about his specialty, evolutionary biology, as well as how it applies to sci-fi and Star Trek, in particular.

GalaxyCon Live: Walter Koenig, Robin Curtis and Nichelle Nichols - Sunday, May 9th

Finally, on Sunday, May 9th at 2pm ET, Walter Koenig and Robin Curtis will be taking part in a virtual Q&A with GalaxyCon Live. Nichelle Nichols will also be available for virtual photo ops.

The regular stuff

  • These are the Twitter watchalongs:

    • #allstartrek runs Sunday through Friday at 8/7C and follows the Heroes and Icons Channel’s All Star Trek programme.

    • #TOSSatNight starts at 9pm PT on Saturday night and follows a different episode of The Original Series every week, and

    • #StarTrekHour is a Q&A-format event, every Tuesday at 1pm PT.

  • And finally, there’s Sid City Social Club, hosted by Star Trek: Deep Space Nine star Alexander Siddig’s official fan website.
