AUGUST 29, 2021 - While we count down the days until we meet our new young heroes of Star Trek: Prodigy (or would, as we await a premiere date), StarTrek.com has let us in on who will be making some trouble for them.

Our heroes, you might recall, have discovered and intend to escape their circumstances in the Federation ship, the U.S.S. Protostar. Also aware of the Protostar and intent on finding it is the ruthless tyrant and progenitor of Gwyn, The Diviner. John Noble, known for his roles as Walter Bishop in Fringe and as Denethor in Lord of the Rings, will voice The Diviner. The Diviner’s body is failing him, and one of his goals is for Gwyn, the Vau N’Akat, voiced by Ella Purnell, to carry on his mission.

Imposing the will of The Diviner will be the heartless, spider-like Drednok. This robotic enforcer seeks only to keep The Diviner on task and will be voiced by Jimmi Simpson. Simpson has appeared as William in Westworld and as Phil Hayes in the season two episode of Jordan Peele’s The Twilight Zone, “Meet in the Middle” (available on Paramount+).

While we are hopeful to hear more during Star Trek Day, we can at least say that Star Trek: Prodigy will premiere this fall on Paramount+, Nickelodeon, and the CTV Sci-Fi Channel in Canada.
