Tabletops: The final frontier…

If you’re an old-school role playing gamer, you’ve probably heard of the tabletop role-playing game Star Trek Adventures. It’s like Dungeons & Dragons, but with warp cores and phasers, letting you and your friends play in the UFP of the 23rd and 24th centuries. With dice, paper, and a bit of imagination, you can recreate all sorts of settings and adventures from every Star Trek era. Of course, sourcebooks make that easier. Those are books filled with stats and information about particular times and places. Now, TrekCore says Star Trek Adventures is expanding again, with the new Delta Quadrant Sourcebook, perfectly timed for the 25th anniversary of Star Trek: Voyager.  Yes - you can relive, reinvent, or even correct the Voyager adventures of Janeway, Paris, Seven, and so on.

Modiphius, the game’s publisher, says the Delta Quadrant Sourcebook gives players and game masters information on such species as the Kazon Collective, the Voth, and others, info on the Borg Collective - including their history, hierarchy, technology, and more, 12 new character species, information on Delta Quadrant starships, and - perhaps most helpful - guidance for the GM for running missions on the other side of the galaxy.

If you’re new to Star Trek Adventures, please note you will need the core rulebook to get the game going. The core rulebook is available on Amazon, and the Delta Quadrant Sourcebook is available as a PDF now, directly from Modiphius. The sourcebook is also available in hardcover, but you’ll have to wait until May to get it; Modiphius have stopped physical shipments as a result of measures to control the spread of coronavirus.
