It’s going to be a busy couple of weeks, folks

New York Comic Con: Thursday, October 7 – Sunday, October 10

The big one this weekend is New York Comic Con, taking place October 7-10 at the Javits Center in New York City. Star Trek guests include William Shatner (Thu-Fri), George Takei (Thu-Sat), Kate Mulgrew (Sat), and Jack Quaid (Fri-Sun). There will also be a Star Trek: Discovery panel on Saturday and a Star Trek: Prodigy panel on Sunday. For all the details, including health protocols, visit NewYorkComicCon.com.

Clexacon: Thursday, October 7 – Sunday, October 10

Mary Chieffo will be appearing Friday through Sunday at Clexacon, a multi-fandom event for LGBTQ+ women, trans and non-binary fans and creators. The convention is taking place at the Tropicana Las Vegas. For more information, head over to Clexacon.com.

Star Trek: Exploring New Worlds: October 7, 2021 – February 20, 2022

The Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles is hosting the Star Trek: Exploring New Worlds exhibit from now into next February. The “fully immersive exhibition will showcase Star Trek’s significant impact on culture, art, and technology through more than one hundred rare artifacts, set pieces, and props, plus state-of-the-art photo and video interactives.” For all the details, visit Skirball.org.

Big Texas Comicon: Friday, October 8 – Sunday, October 10

Doug Jones will be appearing all three days of Big Texas Comicon, taking place at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas. All the details can be found at BigTexasComicon.com.

An Evening with Brent Spiner and Gates McFadden: Tuesday, October 12

Brent Spiner will be discussing his new novel, Fan Fiction, with Gates McFadden in a virtual conversation on October 12 at 7pm ET via Unison Events. Tickets include event access and a copy of Spiner’s book. The event will also be accessible to ticket holders on demand for 90 days after the live presentation. GalaxyCon private signing: Mark Sheppard: Wednesday, October 13

  • To Proudly Go is hosting a recurring in-person Star Trek: Lower Decks viewing party on Saturdays at 6pm ET in New York City.

They meet twice-monthly on the first Tuesday and third Friday of every month, with occasional pop-up meetings with Sid as his schedule allows.
